Job Description:

Senior Project  Engineer  -  Traffic Systems -  Irvine, California

Opportunity  :

  Our Parsons Corporation Pasadena office is now hiring for an experienced  Senior Project  Engineer for Traffic Systems  to perform conventional and moderately-complex engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and design supporting various Caltrans and local agency road & highway projects in Southern California.  The Engineer at this level is highly motivated, can successfully multi-task, work well with a team and individually, and is proficient in Microstation and AutoCAD.  Candidate will have the ability to prepare and review plans related to pavement delineation, signing, traffic signals, lighting, ramp metering, ITS, and traffic control in accordance with local, state and federal policies and requirements.  Willingness to travel to client, or construction site locations, is expected.

Responsibilities :

• Work with a team of engineers and technicians designing and producing a variety of traffic engineering projects.
• The responsibilities will include developing plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a variety of traffic engineering tasks such as pavement delineation, signing, maintenance of traffic, traffic signals, city and freeway lighting, ramp metering, fiber optics, and ITS.
• Responsibilities will also include coordination with local government reviewing agencies, comment resolutions, and inter-team coordination, staff development, budgeting and scheduling.
• Provides support for other engineering activities as required.  May supervise one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance.
• May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project.
• Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.

  

Requirements  :

 Must have a 4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) and at least 10 years or more of related work experience.

 Professional Engineer License ( PE)  is required.

Experience in California is preferred, but not required.

Salary Range: $104,200.00 - $210,600.00
