Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and mentoring electrical engineering staff within a diverse range of projects.
  • Serving as the project manager for electrical design, including power distribution, grounding, lightning protection, lighting, fire alarms, telecommunications, amd security systems.
  • Document calculations to ensure design compliance with codes and client-specific requirements. 
  • Collaborate with project managers to meet schedules and deliver high-quality submissions.
  • Review contractor RFIs, shop drawings, and product submittals. 

 

 To thrive in this role you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in electrical design for buildings/facilities
  • Experience in healthcare, industrial, infrastructure, or manufacturing is a plus
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Revit experience preferred
  • A desire to lead, mentor, and grow an engineering design team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Availability to work in our Charlotte office at least two days a week

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

 

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
