The Enterprise Data & Insights (ED&I) organization is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Lead Data Engineer to participate in the development and optimization of our data platform. In this role, you’ll work hands-on to build and refine data pipelines and systems that ensure high-quality, accessible data across the organization. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver impactful, scalable data solutions that support strategic insights and business growth. What You'll Do

  • Participate in the design, development, and implementation of data pipelines using tools and languages including but not limited to Talend, SQL, DBT and python, supporting data transformation, storage, and retrieval.

  • Translate business requirements into a technical solution that can be divided into specific, actionable tasks for development and implementation.

  • Build and maintain scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Snowflake, ensuring optimal reliability, scalability, and security.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, BI developers, data scientists, etc. to understand data requirements and optimize data flow.

  • Ensure best practices for data governance, data quality, and data security are implemented and maintained across all data processes.

  • Utilize Agile methodologies to deliver data engineering projects efficiently and iteratively.

  • Monitor and optimize data systems performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Mentor and guide other data engineers, providing technical leadership in data modeling and data integration.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for data engineering processes, workflows, and technical standards.

  • Support Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives, data quality frameworks, and data governance activities to enhance data integrity and accessibility.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.

  • In-depth understanding of modern data platform architectures, and approaches to the ingestion, storage, transformation and provisioning of large volumes of enterprise data.

  • Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, data transformation processes (ETL/ELT), and data pipeline orchestration.

  • Proven expertise in Talend with demonstrated experience in building and managing scalable data pipelines.

  • Strong experience with Snowflake, particularly in data warehouse design & implementation, data ingestion, data storage, data processing, and security. Experience with Snowpipe and Snowpark a plus.

  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in security, cloud storage and data processing

  • Expert in SQL for querying, data manipulation, and optimizing complex queries.

  • Experience in data modeling, with the ability to design efficient and scalable data models.

  • Experience in DBT (Data Build Tool) or similar tools for data transformations and Python for scripting and automation.

  • Exposure to Master Data Management (MDM), data quality, and data governance principles.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, including sprint planning and iterative delivery.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Pay Range

$114,991 - $213,554 per year

Our goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
