Automation Engineers are responsible for developing multiple projects utilizing a variety of automation technologies and platforms. These technologies are deployed for the control of automated manufacturing processes. Automation Engineers are given the opportunity to work on projects from the design and development phase to field installation and commissioning.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • PLC Programming (Allen Bradley, Modicon, Siemens, GE)
  • HMI Applications Design (Rockwell, GE Intellution, Wonderware)
  • System Site Commissioning
  • Customer Training
  • Electrical Design (AutoCad)
  • Project documentation and design specifications
  • Project Warranty Support
  • Travel Required (20%-25% of calendar year)
  • Passport required for travel

To qualify for this position, an individual must be able to perform each of the primary tasks and responsibilities and meet the educational requirements. The individual must have strong communication skills, be capable of maintaining customer relationships, and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred

SPECIFICATIONS:

  • PLC programming experience with Allen Bradley, Modicon, Siemens, and/or GE
  • HMI application experience with Rockwell, GE Intellution, and/or Wonderware software applications
  • Visual Basic and Database Programming is a plus
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, network technologies and equipment
  • Knowledge of basic electrical circuits
  • Software application experience utilizing Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic understanding of automated fluid processes
  • 2+ years of experience. 

This is a hybrid position based out of Melbourne, FL with a 2 day in-office requirement per week.
