As a Senior Applications Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge robot applications across various industries using the our client's Library. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying innovative robot arm systems, working closely with customers to ensure successful deployment in production environments. Your expertise in robot arm programming languages, Python development, and PLC programming will be essential in pushing the boundaries of robotic automation.
- Own the entire stack for one or multiple robot applications (such as picking, palletizing, welding, etc.), from initial architecture design through implementation and deployment
- Integrate with peripherals like safety sensors and scanners to create robust and reliable applications.
- Use various physical robots to test and debug, ensuring task goals and cycle time requirements are met.
- Develop intuitive user interfaces that enable non-developers to run the application seamlessly.
- Work directly with customers to deploy the system in production environments.
- Work closely with the product and engineering teams to improve the Library and use it effectively to develop efficient and user-friendly applications.

Python, C++, Robot arm programming languages (RAPID, KRL, INFORM, Karel, URScript), PLC programming, Computer networking
- 5 - 10 years of experience with Python Development
- Prior experience in the deployment of robot arm applications
- Experience with at least one robot arm programming language (RAPID, KRL, INFORM, Karel, URScript...)
- Experience with PLC programming
- Strong computer networking skills
- Independent, able to overcome problems, with excellent debugging skills
- Excellent teamwork, verbal, and written communication skills
The salary range is $140 - $180K + equity
