POSITION SUMMARY:  

The Engineering Manager will support all Manufacturing Engineering functions to ensure manufacturing processes meet productivity, cost, quality, and delivery requirements. Responsibilities also include maintaining customer relationships with external partners.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  1. Manages a small to midsize team of Manufacturing Engineering and Toolmaker resources to develop effective manufacturing methods, tools, processes, machines, and documentation.
  2. Drives and establishes internal processes in support of team members and functional activities.
  3. Ensures production processes meet productivity, yield, and quality requirements.
  4. Ensures Quality Management System requirements are met.
  5. Works closely and effectively with all other departments within the organization, with customers and with suppliers.
  6. Ensures production processes meet requirements of applicable safety rules and regulations.
  7. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  8. Manages moderately complex projects, involving delegation and review of work, acting as team leader.
  9. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  10. Main point of contact for designated external partnerships regarding Manufacturing operations.
  11. Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, biomedical engineering, physics or similar field of study or equivalent experience.

 

Experience: 

  • Minimum five (5) years engineering experience; medical device experience preferred. Or advanced degree with four (4) years of experience.

 

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Strong personal, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Broad knowledge of Project Management.

 

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel.  Employee is frequently required to see fine detail by unaided eye or by microscope.  Employee is frequently required to talk or hear.  Employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.  Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

SALARY RANGE:

The anticipated base pay for this position is: $125,000 - $140,000

Intricon is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. This listed range is based upon a full-time schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, education, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity.
